Take no Sh*t Tuesday: Don’t let them break your heart

By Kate

If someone breaks your heart just punch them in the face. Seriously. Punch them in the face and go get some ice-cream.

– Frank Ocean

My darlings, you deserve happiness and the very best. Sometimes heart-break is necessary and can’t be avoided; and for that I am truly sorry. But sometimes, heartbreak is caused by assholes who actually do deserve to be punched in the face. But as tempting as that sounds, (believe me I know! There was a stage where I lived vicariously through Kill Bill) it is simply not worth your time nor energy. This person has already taken too much of your precious love, and is now tainting all the love, energy and good-shit you should be pouring back into yourself. And as I so philosophically put this morning,

Life is too short for bad sex, average love and lukewarm tea.

So, go get some ice-cream if you like and eat as much as you want. But then afterwards, put it away and do something kind for yourself. Start treating yourself like you would your best friend. You need to look after yourself before you can do anything else my darlings.

Just remember, if it still hurts- it’s not the end- and it will get better. So hang in there.

If you want to try some home-made lollies, you can try out my

Coconut, Cinnamon & Strawberry Lollies

You will need:Coconut and strawberry Lollies

  1. 5/6 strawberries (mine were frozen)
  2. a cup of coconut yoghurt
  3. honey to taste
  4. a dash of cinnamon

Heat the strawberries in a pot with honey and cinnamon. When most of the strawberries have melted, take off the heat and cool.

Stir in the coconut yoghurt and pour into the ice-cream molds.

Pop it into the freezer, wait a few hours, and enjoy!
